Martha's Tea Party

Yesterday afternoon Martha came knocking at our door. She handed out an invitation. "Join us for a SPUR-OF-THE-MOMENT SPRINGTIME TEA!" at her front yard on Wednesday late afternoon.

Martha is sweet, smart, and practical. Not really the "Martha Stewart" type. We wondered how this spur of the moment thing would turn out.

Well, twenty-some neighbors showed up. Her azalea bushes were in full bloom. She served green and black tea and lots of not-too-sweet sweets. She used her good china. Everything was absolutely lovely. "Inspired by Downton Abbey", she says. And we all had such a wonderful time!
